Unicef

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) operates in more than 190 countries and territories to save and improve children’s lives, providing health care and immunizations, clean water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief, and more. In an effort to help UNICEF call attention to these children and raise money for their cause, we created Yelp for Help.

Using Yelp as a tool to help give these children a voice, we built profiles on their behalf and proceeded to review popular establishments, praising them for seemingly normal, everyday essentials like fresh tap water and bread. The reviews pointed out that not everyone has access to these everyday essentials and provided a link to a UNICEF Yelp for Help page where they could learn more and donate.

This project is still in the works and we’re currently in discussions on how to expand it and truly make an impact.
